I grew up in a close-knit family in Willowdale, Ontario (North Toronto). As a child I would organize and rearrange my bedroom often. I loved to create new homes for my belongings and make it feel more cozy. In the summers I spent it camping in the Kawarthas. The freedom of the outdoors was such a huge contrast from the city and the summer days seemed endless. I have fond memories of daylong adventures with friends, exploring, swimming, building forts, rafts and of course – catching frogs. I still head up there every summer to enjoy everything the area has to offer.
Once I started my business, as an organizer, I moved to Barrie to be closer to family and quickly grew to love the smaller city feel. It’s on the lake, easy to get out into nature, yet still close enough to Toronto to take in the amenities.
Spending quality time with family and friends is important to me. But in my downtime I like to get creative and make a variety of crafts. From wind chimes and frames, to jewelry, cards and journals. It brings me pleasure to layout the plan and see it come together so nicely.
Of course, I spend lots of time giving love and attention to my furbabies, Chloee and Madison. Although they’re 16, they’re still young at heart.
It’s important to me to support charities and I appreciate that the professional association I belong to, is committed to charities as well.
My personal favourite is the Walk for Lupus and I participate every May, organizing behind the scenes to help the event run smoothly.
The Professional Organizers of Canada – North Chapter, supports the Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness and organizes their warehouse in Aurora. The warehouse houses toys, furniture, toiletries, brand new clothing and more. Spa days are arranged for the women to get hair, makeup and nails done. When a woman is ready to leave the shelter, organizers stage her apartment for her.
Before launching Serenity Organizing Solutions, I worked for 20 years in social services. It’s helped me understand the unique needs of those dealing with depression, emotional attachment and ADHD.
But for ages I dreamed of starting my own organizing business. With my natural ability to organize and love of helping others, I knew it was the perfect business for me. If I had known the positive impact I’d have on so many lives—I would have launched my business much sooner.
As the owner of Serenity Organizing Solutions, I work from a place of integrity, compassion and trust. I believe everyone deserves a serene place – customized to their needs. And I’ll work hard to make that happen for you.
With a flair for colour and layout, I add that special touch to your surroundings before we’re finished. You’ll have a place that’s pleasing and functional, with everything you need, where you need it.
Based in Barrie, I’ll travel about an hour or so to your home for appointments. If you are the do-it-yourself type, we can arrange remote appointments to give you the support you need.
“Hi Stephanie, thank you so much for coming into my home and organizing it! You made it as painless as possible. You were so professional and prepared. The fact you came with all the storage bins and ideas meant I could continue to stay organized today. I also appreciate your lessons and your tricks regarding staying organized. Please feel free to use me as a reference anytime. Thanks again!”Laura Armstrong
Before Stephanie came to my house every day was like a new project trying to sort out what to wear, find a pen to write down a message rummaging through overfilled drawers and disorganized closets full of fine suits that no longer fit or were out of style. Every morning was a challenge.
Today a glance at my dresser drawer, a visual sweep of my closet allows me to prepare for the day with ease and comfort. I know where the message pads are I know where the pens are and I know exactly where to put them back thanks to Stephanie
In the past I've had to downsize and sort out two houses. The people that helped me were like drill sergeants, pushing, shaming and and adding to the stress of trying to decide what to keep and what to get rid of.
Stephanie is the opposite. She is calm, encouraging, nonjudgmental and at the end of the day of reorganizing and downside and I was left with the feeling of accomplishment and pride for a job well done and a much more organized household and space.

If you're ever in need of an extra hand to clean out and reorganize that cluttered closet or if your garage is in need of an organizational system that you can stick to, Serenity Organizing Solutions can help. Stephanie has a gentle approach as she understands that sometimes it's hard to let go of the things that we think we need. When it comes to closet reorganizing, her system of making 3 piles; keep, donate, throw out was so helpful in the reorganization process. She made the process quick and painless.
